Introduction
TheCaliforniaAirResourcesBoard(CARB),theEnvironmentalProtectionAgency(EPA),andTheT oro®Companyarepleasedtoexplaintheevaporative
emissioncontrolsystem’swarrantyonyour2018–2019modelyearequipment.InCalifornia,andotherstates,newequipmentthatusesmall/large
off-roadsparkignitionenginesmustbedesigned,built,andequippedtomeettheState’sstringentanti-smogstandards.TheToro®Companymust
warranttheevaporativeemissioncontrolsystemonyourequipmentfortheperiodlistedbelowprovidedtherehasbeennoabuse,neglect,orimproper
maintenanceofyourequipmentleadingtothefailureoftheevaporativeemissioncontrolsystem.
Yourevaporativeemissioncontrolsystemmayincludepartssuchas:carburetors,fueltanks,fuellines(forliquidfuelandfuelvapors),fuelcaps,valves,
canisters,lters,clamps,connectors,andotherassociatedemission-relatedcomponents.
Manufacturer’sWarrantyCoverage:
Thisevaporativeemissioncontrolsystemiswarrantedfortwoyears.Ifanyevaporativeemission-relatedpartonyourequipmentisdefective,thepart
willberepairedorreplacedbyTheToro®Company.
Owner’sWarrantyResponsibilities:
Astheequipmentowner,youareresponsibleforperformanceoftherequiredmaintenancelistedinyourOperator'sManual.TheT oro®Company
recommendsthatyouretainallreceiptscoveringmaintenanceonyourequipment,butTheToro®Companycannotdenywarrantysolelyforthe
lackofreceipts.
Astheequipmentowner,youshouldbeawarethatTheToro®Companymaydenyyouwarrantycoverageifyourequipmentoraparthasfaileddueto
abuse,neglect,impropermaintenance,orunapprovedmodications.
YouareresponsibleforpresentingyourequipmenttoaT oro®Companyservicecenterassoonastheproblemexists.Thewarrantyrepairsshould
becompletedinareasonableamountoftime,nottoexceed30days.Ifyouhaveaquestionregardingyourwarrantycoverage,youshouldcontact

GeneralEvaporativeEmissionsWarrantyCoverage:
TheT oro®Companywarrantstotheultimatepurchaserandeachsubsequentpurchaserthattheequipmentis:
•Designed,built,andcertiedtoconformwithallapplicableemissionsregulations;and
•Identicalinallmaterialrespectstothepartsasdescribedintheapplicationforcertication;and
•Freefromdefectsinmaterialsandworkmanshipthatcouldcausethefailureofawarrantedpart
Thewarrantyperiodbeginsonthedatetheequipmentisdeliveredtoanultimatepurchaser.Thewarrantedperiodistwoyears.
Subjecttocertainconditionsandexclusionsasstatedbelow,thewarrantyonevaporativeemissions-relatedpartsisasfollows:
1.Anywarrantedpartthatisnotscheduledforreplacementasrequiredmaintenanceinthewritteninstructionssupplied,iswarranted
forthewarrantyperiodstatedabove.Ifthepartfailsduringtheperiodofwarrantycoverage,thepartwillberepairedorreplacedby
TheT oro®Company.Anysuchpartrepairedorreplacedunderwarrantywillbewarrantedfortheremainderofthewarrantyperiod.
2.Anywarrantedpartthatisscheduledonlyforregularinspectioninthewritteninstructionssuppliediswarrantedforthe
warrantyperiodstatedabove.Anysuchpartrepairedorreplacedunderthewarrantywillnotreducetheperiodofwarranty
coverageandwillbewarrantedfortheremainderofthewarrantyperiod.
3.Anywarrantedpartthatisscheduledforreplacementasrequiredmaintenanceinthewritteninstructionssuppliedis
warrantedfortheperiodoftimepriortotherstscheduledreplacementdateforthatpart.Ifthepartfailsbeforetherst
scheduledreplacement,thepartmustberepairedorreplacedbyTheT oro®Company.Anysuchpartrepairedorreplaced
underwarrantywillbewarrantedfortheremainderoftheperioduptotherstscheduledreplacementpointforthepart.
4.Repairorreplacementofanywarrantedpartunderthewarrantyprovisionshereinmustbeperformedatan
AuthorizedServiceDealeratnochargetotheowner.
5.WarrantyservicesorrepairswillbeprovidedatallServiceDealersauthorizedtoservicethesubjectequipment.
6.Theequipmentownerwillnotbechargedfordiagnosticlaborthatisdirectlyassociatedwithdiagnosisofadefective,
emission-relatedwarrantedpart,providedthatsuchdiagnosticworkisperformedatanAuthorizedServiceDealer.
7.TheToro®Companyisliablefordamagestootherengineorequipmentcomponentsproximatelycausedbyafailureunderwarrantyofanywarrantedpart.
8.Throughouttheevaporativeemissioncontrolsystem’swarrantyperiodstatedabove,TheT oro®Companywillmaintainasupplyof
warrantedpartssufcienttomeettheexpecteddemandforsuchparts.
9.Manufacturerapprovedreplacementpartsmaybeusedintheperformanceofanywarrantymaintenanceorrepairsand
mustbeprovidedwithoutchargetotheowner.SuchusewillnotreducethewarrantyobligationsofTheToro®Company.
10.Add-onormodiedpartsthatarenotapprovedbyTheT oro®Companymaynotbeused.Theuseofanon-approved,add-on,ormodiedpartby
thepurchaserwillbegroundsfordisallowingawarrantyclaim.TheT oro®Companywillnotbeliabletowarrantfailuresofwarrantedpartscaused
bytheuseofnon-approved,add-on,ormodiedparts.
WarrantedParts:
TherepairorreplacementofanywarrantedpartotherwiseeligibleforwarrantycoveragemaybeexcludedfromsuchcoverageifTheT oro®Company
demonstratesthattheequipmenthasbeenabused,neglected,orimproperlymaintained,andthatsuchabuse,neglect,orimpropermaintenancewasthe
directcauseoftheneedforrepairorreplacementofthepart.Thatnotwithstanding,anyadjustmentofacomponentthathasafactoryinstalled,and
properlyoperating,adjustmentlimitingdeviceisstilleligibleforwarrantycoverage.Thefollowingemissionwarrantypartslistarecovered:
