12.Repeattheprocedureforallcuttingunitsyouwantto
backlap.
13.Whennished,returntheBacklapSwitchtothe
Forward(F)position,replacethecover,andwashall
thelappingcompoundoffofthecuttingunits.Adjust
thecuttingunitreeltobedknifeasneeded.Movethe
cuttingunitreelspeedcontroltothedesiredmowing
position.
Important:Ifthebacklapswitchisnotreturned
totheForward(F)positionafterbacklapping,the
cuttingunitswillnotraiseorfunctionproperly.
Storage
Ifyouwishtostorethemachineforalongperiodoftime,the
followingstepsshouldbeperformedpriortostorage:
1.Removeaccumulationsofdirtandoldgrassclippings.
Sharpenthereelsandbedknives,ifnecessary;refer
totheCuttingUnitOperator'sManual.Usearust
preventiveonbedknivesandreelblades.Greaseand
oilalllubricationpoints;refertoLubrication(page36).
2.Blockupthewheelstoremoveanyweightonthetires.
3.Drainandreplacethehydraulicuidandlterand
inspectthehydrauliclinesandttings.Replace,if
necessary;refertoChangingtheHydraulicOiland
Filter(page41)andCheckingtheHydraulicLinesand
Hoses(page42).
4.Allfuelshouldberemovedfromthefueltank.Runthe
engineuntilitstopsfromlackoffuel.Replacethefuel
lter;refertoReplacingtheFuelFilter(page38).
5.Whiletheengineisstillwarm,draintheoilfromthe
crankcase.Rellitwithfreshoil;refertoChangingthe
EngineOilandFilter(page37).
6.Removethesparkplugs,pouroneounceofSAE30oil
intothecylinders,andcrankslowlytodistributetheoil.
Replacethesparkplugs;refertoReplacingtheSpark
Plugs(page37).
7.Cleandirtandchafffromthecylinder,cylinderhead
ns,andblowerhousing.
8.Removethebatteryandchargeitfully.Eitherstore
itontheshelforonthemachine.Leavethecables
disconnectedifitisstoredonthemachine.Store
thebatteryinacoolatmospheretoavoidquick
deteriorationofthechargeinthebattery.
9.Ifpossible,storethemachineinawarm,drylocation.
