Subject: Availability of Seal Repair Kits and Tools for Servicing Rollers and Reels

The roller and reel seal designs in these cutting units have specific installation

procedures in order to perform as expected. Kits to service these cutting units are now

available and contain instructions on how to properly install the parts for an effective

repair. The kits listed below are available through your local distributor.

Flex 21

- Reel Seal Rebuild Kit (108-3160) one kit is required for one reel

DPA

- Reel Seal Replacement Kit (106-6937) one kit is required for one reel

Rollers - Rebuild Kit (107-1594) one kit rebuilds one roller and includes bearings

Note: Special Tool Kit TOR 4108 is now available to aid in the repair of Flex 21 and

DPA Cutting Units. These special tools are highly recommended for performing

consistent and effective repairs, especially where multiple cutting unit repairs are

involved. The Kit is available through your local distributor.

Use: Bearing and Seal Installer TOR4105 uses the threads on either end of the roller

shaft to draw the bearings into position and then the tools are reversed and used

to properly position the seals. Do not use the assembly spacers in Roller Rebuild

Kit (107-1594) when using this Tool. Sleeve Driver TOR4107 is used to install

the wear sleeve on the Flex 21 reel shaft (Flex 21 only).
