Installation on Cutting Units Without

Groomer

1. Remove (2) nuts securing belt cover to brush kit drive

assembly (Fig. 1). Remove cover and set aside for now.

Note: Account for (2) shoulder spacers on cover mounting

studs.

2. Remove fasteners securing counterweight to end of

cutting unit (Fig. 2). Remove counterweight.

3. Remove plug from counterweight (Fig. 2).

4. Re–install counterweight to cutting unit or groomer

cover to groomer drive assembly with mounting

fasteners previously removed.

Note: Make sure counterweight is mounted with the boss toward the front. 5. 15. Adjust roller bearing housings until there is contact to 0.010” clearance between roller brush and rear roller. 20. Using about 5 lbs of force, push down on idler pulley to initially set belt tension. Tighten capscrew and nut securing idler pulley to brush drive plate (Fig. 8). Note: Make sure roller brush is parallel to rear roller. 16. Tighten nuts securing the brush mounting brackets to the cutting unit sideplates. Note: Make sure idler plate (Fig.

Maintenance 3. Remove plug from groomer cover (Fig. 12). 1. Clean under belt cover and check belt tension every 50 hours. 4. Install rubber grommet into hole in groomer cover (Fig. 13). 2. Grease fittings weekly or after every washing. 3. When replacing roller brush, torque J bolts to 20 to 25 in–lbs. 1 Installation on Cutting Units With Groomer 1. Remove (2) nuts securing belt cover to brush kit drive assembly (Fig. 11). Remove cover and set aside for now. Figure 13 1.

Secure the right brush mounting bracket to the inside of the cutting unit side plate with (2) capscrews and flangehead nuts (Fig. 16). 3. Drive pulley 4. Pulley shaft pin 13. Install belt over pulleys (Fig. 18). 1 14. Move roller brush assembly so all three pulleys are in a straight line.

22. Check belt tension. Correct belt tension should have approximately 1/4” deflection at the center of the belt with 2 lbs of force applied. 17. Tighten nuts securing to brush mounting brackets to the cutting unit sideplates. 18. Rotate the bearing locking collar in the direction of the rotation of the brush, by hand until the collar is tight on the roller brush shaft (Fig. 19). 23. Install the belt cover to the drive assembly with (2) flange head nuts previously removed (Fig. 21).
