Installing the Pitch Arm to the Side Plate 1. Thoroughly clean the side plates and other cutting unit components. Inspect the side plates for wear or damage and replace the components if needed. 2. Carefully slide the side plate with the new pitch arm onto the cutting reel assembly (Figure 12).
