•Read,understand,andfollowalltheinstructions
inthetractionunitanddethatchingunitOperator's
Manualbeforeoperatingthedethatchingunit.
•Neverallowchildrentooperatethetractionunitor
dethatchingunits.Donotallowadultstooperate
tractionunitordethatchingunitswithoutproper
instruction.Onlytrainedoperatorswhohaveread
thismanualshouldoperatethetractionunitor
dethatchingunits.
•Neveroperatethedethatchingunitswhenill,tired,
orundertheinuenceofdrugsoralcohol.
•Keepallshieldsandsafetydevicesinplace.
Ifashield,safetydeviceordecalisillegibleor
damaged,repairorreplaceitbeforeoperatingthe
machine.Also,tightenanyloosenuts,bolts,and
screwstoensurethatthedethatchingunitisin
safeoperatingcondition.
•Alwayswearsubstantial,slip-resistantfootwear.
Tiebacklonghair.Donotwearloosetting
clothingorjewelry.Wearingsafetyglasses,safety
shoes,andahelmetisadvisableandrequiredby
somelocalordinancesandinsuranceregulations.
•Removealldebrisorotherobjectsthatmaybe
pickedupandthrownbythedethatchingunit.
Keepallbystandersawayfromtheworkingarea.
•Ifthedethatchingunitstrikesasolidobjector
theunitvibratesabnormally,shutofftheengine.
Checkthedethatchingunitfordamagedparts.
Repairanydamagebeforestartingandoperating
thedethatchingunit.
•Lowerthedethatchingunitstotheground,and
removethekeyfromtheignitionswitchwhenever
themachineisleftunattended.
•Ensurethatthedethatchingunitsareinsafe
operatingconditionbykeepingallhardwaretight.
•Removethekeyfromtheignitionswitchtoprevent
someonefromaccidentallystartingtheengine
whenservicing,adjusting,orstoringthemachine.
•Performonlythosemaintenanceinstructions
describedinthismanual.Ifmajorrepairsare
everneededorassistanceisdesired,contactan
AuthorizedT oroDistributor.
•Toensureoptimumperformanceandcontinued
safetycerticationofthemachine,useonly
genuineTororeplacementpartsandaccessories.
Replacementpartsandaccessoriesmadeby
othermanufacturerscouldbedangerous,and
suchusecouldvoidtheproductwarranty.
