1.Raisethecargobed;refertoRaisingtheCargo
BedtotheDumpPosition(page18).
2.ShiftthetransmissionintotheNEUTRALposition,
engagetheparkingbrake,rotatethekeyswitch
totheOFFposition,andremovethekey.
3.Rotateandroutethebeltoverthesecondary
clutch(Figure66).
4.Removethebeltfromtheprimaryclutch(Figure
66).
Note:Discardtheoldbelt.
5.Alignthenewbeltovertheprimaryclutch
(Figure66).
6.Rotateandroutethebeltoverthesecondary
clutch(Figure66).
7.Lowerthecargobed.

3.Alignaprybarbetweentheenginemountand
starter.
4.Applydownwardpressuretotheprybartorotate
thestarterdownintheslotuntilthebelttension
onlyallows6mm(1/4inch)beltdeectionwith
44N∙m(10ft-lb)offorce(Figure66).
5.Tightenthepivotnuthandtight,andremovethe
prybar(Figure66).
6.Torquethepivotnutto88to115N∙m(65to85
ft-lb).
7.Lowerthecargobed.

AdjustingtheCargo-Bed
Latches
Ifthecargo-bedlatchisoutofadjustment,thecargo
bedvibratesupanddownasyoudrivethemachine.
Youcanadjustthelatchpoststomakethelatches
holdthecargobedsnuglytothechassis.
1.Verifythatthecargobedislatching.
Note:Ifthecargobeddoesnotlatch,the
bed-latchstrikerislikelytoolow.Ifthecargo
bedlatches,butvibratesupanddownasyou
drive,thebed-latchstrikerislikelytoohigh.
2.Raisethecargobed;RaisingtheCargoBedto
theDumpPosition(page18).
3.Loosenthe2boltsonthebed-latchstrikerand
movethestrikerupordown,dependingonifthe
strikeristoohighortoolow(Figure67).
