Towingthemachineisa2-personjob.Ifthemachine
mustbemovedaconsiderabledistance,transportit
onatruckortrailer;refertoTransportingtheMachine

1.Shutoffthemachineandremovethekey.
Important:Ifyoutowthemachinewiththe
keyintheONposition,theelectricalsystem
maybedamaged.
2.Afxatowlinetothetongueatthefrontofthe
machine’sframe(Figure20).
3.Disengagetheparkingbrake.
TowingaTrailer
Themachineiscapableofpullingtrailers.
Whenhaulingcargoortowingatrailer,donotoverload
yourmachineortrailer.Overloadingeitherthe
machineorthetrailercancausepoorperformanceor
damagetothebrakes,axle,motor,transaxle,steering,
suspension,bodystructure,ortires.Alwaysloada
trailerwith60%ofthecargoweightinthefrontofthe
trailer.Thisplacesapproximately10%ofthegross
trailerweight(GTW)onthetowhitchofthemachine.
Themaximumcargoloadshallnotexceed454kg
(1,000lb),includingtheGTW.Forexample,ifthe
GTWis181.5kg(400lb)thenthemaximumcargo
loadis544kg(1,200lb)includingoperator(s).
Toprovideadequatebrakingandtraction,always
loadthecargoboxwhentrailering.Donotexceed
theGTWorGVWlimits.
Avoidparkingamachinewithatraileronahill.Ifyou
mustparkonahill,engagetheparkingbrakeand
blockthetiresofthetrailer.
