Important:Iftheuidbecomescontaminated,contact
anauthorizedTorodistributor.Contaminateduid
looksmilkyorblackwhencomparedtocleanuid.
1.Turntheengineoff.
2.Disconnectthesmallhydraulichose(casedrain)from
thebottomofthereservoirandletthehydraulicuid
owintoadrainpan.
Note:Installandtightenthehosewhenthehydraulic
uidstopsdraining.
3.Fillthereservoirwithapproximately10gallonsof
hydraulicuid.RefertoCheckingtheHydraulicFluid
(page11).
Important:Useonlythehydraulicuids
specied.Otheruidscoulddamagethesystem.
Topreventoverlling,donotlliftheuidis
cold.Donotoverll.
4.Installthereservoircap.
5.Startthetractorengine,useallthehydrauliccontrols
todistributethehydraulicuidthroughoutthesystem,
andcheckforleaks.
6.Stoptheengine
7.Withtheuidwarm,lookintothesightgauge.
Note:Ifthehydraulicuidlevelislow,addenough
uidtoraisetheleveltothemiddle(maximum)ofthe
sightgauge.
ReplacingtheHydraulicFilter
UseonlytheTororeplacementlter(PartNo.54-0110)in
thehydraulicsystem.
Important:Useofanyotherltermayvoidthewarranty
onsomecomponents.
1.Turnthetractorengineoffandremovethekeyfrom
theignition.
2.Cleantheareaaroundtheltermountingarea.
3.Placeadrainpanunderthelterandremovethelter
(Figure12).

4.Lubricatethenewltergasketandllthelterwith
hydraulicuid.
5.Ensurethattheltermountingareaisclean.
6.Screwthelteronuntilthegasketcontactsthe
mountingplate,thentightenthelterone–halfturn.

controlstopurgeairfromthesystem.
8.Stoptheengineandchecktheuidlevelandforany
leaks.

Makesurethatthebeltisproperlytensionedtoensureproper
operationofthemachineandpreventunnecessarywear.
1.Loosentheboltsandnutssecuringthedriveshieldto
theimpellerhousing(Figure13)andremovetheshield.
