Ifcorrosionoccursattheterminals,disconnectthe
cables(negative(–)cablerst)andscrapeclamps
andterminalsseparately.Connectthecables(positive
(+)cablerst)andcoattheterminalswithpetroleum
jelly.
WARNING
Batteryterminalsormetaltoolscouldshort
againstmetaltractionunitcomponents,
causingsparks.Sparkscancausethebattery
gassestoexplode,resultinginpersonal
injury.
Whenremovingorinstallingthebattery,
donotallowthebatteryterminalstotouch
anymetalpartsofthemachine.
Donotallowmetaltoolstoshortbetween
thebatteryterminalsandmetalpartsofthe
machine.
