Lubrication

TheRake-O-Vachasgreasettingsthatmustbelubricated

regularlywithNo.2GeneralPurposeLithiumBaseGrease.

Lubricatethebearingsafterevery30hoursofoperation

orwhenevermachineiswashedwithwater.Bearingsand

bushingsmustbelubricateddailywhenoperatingconditions

areextremelydustyanddirty.Dustyanddirtyoperating

conditionscouldcausedirttogetintothebearingsand

bushings,resultinginacceleratedwear.Thegreasettings

thatmustbelubricatedare:thegaugewheelbearings,the

reelshaftbearings,theimpellershaftbearings,thejackshaft

bearings,andtheleftandrighttrailingarms.

1.Wipethegreasettingscleantoensurethatforeign

mattercannotbeforcedintothebearingorbushing.

2.Pumpgreaseintothebearingorbushing(Figure11,

Figure12,andFigure13).
