SafetyInterlockSwitchesAreForThe
Operator’sProtection.DisconnectedOr
MalfunctioningSafetyInterlockSwitchesCould
AllowTheMachineToOperateInAnUnsafe
MannerAndMayCausePersonalInjury.
•Donotdisconnectthesafetyinterlock
switches.
•Checkoperationoftheswitchesdailyto
besuretheinterlocksystemisoperating
correctly.
•Ifaswitchismalfunctioning,replaceit
beforeoperatingthemachine.
Thepurposeofthesafetyinterlocksystemisasfollows:
•Preventsthebrushfromrotatingwhenthehopper
isintheraisedposition.
•Preventsthehopperfrombeingdumpedwhenthe
sweeperisintheoff-setposition.
•Audiblealarmwillsoundwhendumpinghopper.
Donotmovetowvehiclewhendumpingthe
hopper.
OperatingTips
•Beforestartingtosweep,surveyareatodetermine
thebestdirectiontosweep.
Note:Tomaintainastraightlinewhensweeping,
sightanobjectintheforeground.
•Alwaystrytomakealong,continuousrunwitha
slightoverlaponthereturnrun.
•Onturfareas,thebrushwillpickupturfcores,
twigs,clippings,leaves,pineneedlesandcones,
smalldebris.
•Thesweeperalsogroomstheturf.Thebrush
combsthroughandliftsthegrassforauniform
cutwhenmowed.Asitcleans,thelightscarifying
actionincreasewaterandpesticidepenetration,thus
reducingtheneedforrenovation.
Important:Donotmakesharpturnswhen
usingthesweeperasdamagetoturfmayoccur.
