–Donotdriveclosetoasandtrap,ditch,tallcurb,
creek,orotherhazard.
–Reducespeedwhenmakingsharpturns.
–Avoidturningthesweeperonahillsideor
embankment.
–Avoidsuddenstopsandstarts.
–Donotgofromreversetoforwardorforwardto
reversewithoutrstcomingtoacompletestop.
–Donotattemptsharpturnsorabruptmaneuvers
orotherunsafedrivingactionsthatmaycause
lossofcontrol.
–Watchoutfortrafcwhennearorcrossing
roads.Alwaysyieldtheright-of-way.
WhileDumping
•Thesweepermustbeinthetransportposition
(directlybehindtowvehicle)beforeactivatingdump
cycle.
•Dumpingdebriscancauseseriousinjury.Stayclear
ofhopperwhilemachineisbackingupordumping.
•Underrarecircumstanceswet,compressedgrass
clippingsmaygenerateheat.Alwaysemptythe
hopperbeforestoringtheunit.
•Raisingandloweringofhopperdoorcouldcause
injurytobystandersorpets.Keepbystandersand
petsasafedistancefromhopperwhenoperatingto
dumpdebrisorwhenopeningandclosinghopper
door.
•Toavoidtheriskofelectricalshock,dumphopper
onlyinareaclearofoverheadwiresandother
obstructions.
•NEVERdumphopperonaslope.Alwaysdump
hopperonlevelground.
•Parkmachineonalevelsurface,emptyhopper,
lowerhooperuntilrollerisonthegroundandblock
wheelsbeforeremovingsweeperfromtowvehicle.
Maintenance
•Hydraulicuidescapingunderpressurecan
penetrateskinanddoseriousdamage.Keepbody
andhandsawayfrompinholeleaksornozzlesthat
ejecthighpressurehydraulicuid.Usecardboard
orpapertondhydraulicleaks.Fluidaccidentally
injectedintotheskinmustbesurgicallyremoved
withinafewhoursbyadoctorfamiliarwiththis
formofinjuryorgangrenemayresult.
•Performonlythosemaintenanceinstructions
describedinthismanual.Ifmajorrepairsareever
neededorassistancedesired,contactanAuthorized
TORODistributor.
•Makesureallhydrauliclineconnectorsaretight,and
allhydraulichosesandlinesareingoodcondition
beforeapplyingpressuretothesystem.
•Performingmaintenanceonmachinenotproperly
supportedwithjackstandsmaycausemachineto
fallandcouldcauseinjury.
•Tobesureofoptimumperformanceandsafety,
alwayspurchasegenuineTOROreplacementparts
andaccessories.Replacementpartsandaccessories
madebyothermanufacturerscouldbedangerous.
Alteringthismachineinanymannermayaffectthe
machine’soperation,performance,ordurability,or
itsusemayresultininjuryordeath.Suchusecould
voidproductwarrantyofTheToroCompany.
