BeforeOperation
BeforeOperationSafety
•Neverallowchildrenoruntrainedpeopleto
operateorservicethemachine.Localregulations
mayrestricttheageoftheoperator.Theowner
isresponsiblefortrainingalloperatorsand
mechanics.
•Becomefamiliarwiththesafeoperationofthe
equipment,operatorcontrols,andsafetysigns.
•Knowhowtostopthemachineandshutoffthe
engineofthetowvehiclequickly.
•Checkthatoperator-presencecontrols,safety
switches,andshieldsareattachedandfunctioning
properly.Donotoperatethemachineunlessthey
arefunctioningproperly.
•Inspecttheareawhereyouwillusethemachine
andremoveallobjectsthatthemachinecould
strike.
•WhenusingaWorkmanmachineasatowvehicle,
itisrecommendedtoput227kg(500lb)ofweight
intothevehiclebedwhenoperatingonanyslopes.
•Ensurethatyourtowvehicleissuitableforuse
withanimplementofthisweightbycheckingwith
yourtowvehiclesupplierormanufacturer.
•Shutoffthemachine,shutofftheengineand
removethekeyofthetowvehicle,andwait
forallmovingpartstostopbeforemakingany
adjustmentstothemachine.
OperatingtheMachine
Theprimaryfunctionofthemachineistosweepupdebrisfromlargeturfareas.
Themachineisoperatedbyusingtheremotecontrol.RefertoControls(page18)fortheproperuseofthe
controlbuttons.
Whentransportingandturning,positionthemachineinthefollowingheights:
•Transportheight(homeposition)is33.7to38.7cm(13-1/4to15-1/4inches).
•Turnaroundheight(offsetposition)is21.6to26.7cm(8-1/2to10-1/2inches).
WARNING
Rotatingpartscancauseseriouspersonalinjury.
•Keepyourhands,feet,hair,andclothingawayfromallmovingpartstopreventinjury.
•Donotoperatethemachinewithcovers,shrouds,orguardsremoved.
