ReplacingtheRemote
Batteries
Thehandheldremoteispoweredby4AAAbatteries.
Wheninstallingbatteries,observeproperpolarityas
markedontheinsideofthecompartmenttoavoid
damagingtheunit.
1.Removethe6screwsfromthebackofthe
remoteandremovethecover(Figure40).
Note:Ifpossible,leavetherubbersealand
steelgasketinthechannelwhenremovingthe
coverandbatteries.

2.Removethedischargedbatteriesandproperly
disposeinaccordancewithlocalregulations.
3.Plugeachfreshbatteryintoaterminalcradle
observingproperpolarity.
Note:Ifthebatteriesareimproperlyinstalled,
theunitwillnotbedamaged,butitwillfailto
operate.
4.Ifyouaccidentallyremovedtherubbersealand
thesteelgasket,replacethemcarefullyintothe
channelinthehandheldremote.
5.Replacethecoverandsecureitwiththe6
screwsremovedpreviously(Figure40)and
torquethemto1.5to1.7N∙m(13to15in-lb).
Note:Donotovertightenthescrews.
Storage
1.Thoroughlycleanthemachinesothatitisfree
ofdirt,leaves,anddebris.
2.Checkthetirepressure.RefertoCheckingthe
TirePressure(page23).
3.Checkallfastenersandtightenthemas
necessary.
4.Greaseallthegreasettings.Wipeoffany
excesslubricant.
5.Checktheconditionofthebrushandreplaceit
ifnecessary.
