TransportingtheMachine
Useatrailerwithfull-widthrampstomovethe
machinealongdistance.Makesurethatthemachine
issecurelyboundtothetrailer.RefertoFigure20
andFigure21forthelocationofthetie-downpoints
onthemachine.
CAUTION
Looseseatsmayfalloffthemachineand
trailerwhentransportingthemachine,and
theseatsmaylandonanothermachineor
obstructtheroadway.
Removetheseatsormakesurethattheseats
aresecurelyfastenedtothecouplinginthe
seatshroud.

Incaseofanemergency,themachinecanbetowed
forashortdistance.However,wedonotrecommend
thisasastandardoperatingprocedure.
WARNING
Towingatexcessivespeedscouldcausea
lossofsteeringcontrol,resultinginpersonal
injury.
Nevertowthemachinefasterthan8km/h
(5mph).
Towingthemachineisa2-personjob.Ifthemachine
mustbemovedaconsiderabledistance,transportit
onatruckortrailer;refertoTransportingtheMachine
(page26).
1.Removethedrivebeltfromthemachine;referto
ServicingtheDriveBelt(page51).
2.Afxatowlinetothetongueatthefrontofthe
machine’sframe(Figure20).
3.PutthetransmissionofthemachineinNEUTRAL
anddisengagetheparkingbrake.
TowingaTrailer
Themachineiscapableofpullingtrailers.
Whenhaulingcargoortowingatrailer,donot
overloadyourmachineortrailer.Overloadingeither
themachineorthetrailercancausepoorperformance
ordamagetothebrakes,axle,engine,transaxle,
steering,suspension,bodystructure,ortires.Always
loadatrailerwith60%ofthecargoweightinthefront
ofthetrailer.Thisplacesapproximately10%ofthe
grosstrailerweight(GTW)onthetowhitchofthe
machine.
Themaximumcargoloadshallnotexceed454kg
(1,000lb),includingtheGTW.Forexample,ifthe
GTW=181.5kg(400lb)thenthemaximumcargo
load=544kg(1,200lb)includingoperator(s).
Toprovideadequatebrakingandtraction,always
loadthecargoboxwhentrailering.Donotexceed
theGTWorGVWlimits.
Avoidparkingamachinewithatraileronahill.Ifyou
mustparkonahill,engagetheparkingbrakeand
blockthetiresofthetrailer.
