4.Cleanthebearingsandraces,andcheckthese
partsforwearanddamage.

Ensurethatthebearingsandracesareclean
anddry.
5.Cleanthecavityofthehubofallgrease,dirt,
anddebris(Figure33).
6.Packthebearingswiththespeciedgrease.
7.Fillthecavityofhub50to80%fullofthe
speciedgrease(Figure33).
8.Assembletheinboardbearingontotheraceat
theinboardsideofthehubandinstalltheseal
(Figure33).
9.Repeatsteps1through8tothebearingsforthe
otherhub.
InstallingtheHubandRotor
1.Applyalightcoatofthespeciedgreasetothe
spindle(Figure34).

to20in-lb).
8.Installtheretaineroverthenutandcheckthe
alignmentoftheslotintheretainerandthehole
inthespindleforthecotterpin(Figure35).
Note:Iftheslotintheretainerandtheholein
thespindlearenotaligned,tightenthespindle
nuttoaligntheslotandholetoamaximum
torqueof226N∙cm(20in-lb)onthenut.
