2.Engagetheparkingbrake.
3.Shutofftheengineandremovethekey.
4.Raisethecargobedandsecureitwiththeprop
rod;refertoRaisingtheCargoBedtotheDump
Position(page20).
5.ShiftthetransmissionintoNEUTRAL.
6.Rotateandinspectthebelt(Figure67)forsigns
ofexcessivewearordamage.
Note:Replacethebeltifitisexcessivelyworn
ordamaged;refertoReplacingtheDriveBelt
(page54).

starter.
4.Applydownwardpressuretotheprybartorotate
thestarterdownintheslotuntilthebelttension
onlyallows6mm(1/4inch)beltdeectionwith
44N∙m(10ft-lb)offorce(Figure67).
5.Tightenthepivotnuthandtight,andremovethe
prybar(Figure67).
6.T orquethepivotnutto88to115N∙m(65to85
ft-lb).
7.Lowerthecargobed.
