Afterextendedoperationinmud,sand,water,
orsimilardirtyconditions,haveyourbrakes
inspectedandcleanedassoonaspossible.This
preventsanyabrasivematerialfromcausing
excessivewear.
Underfrequentheavydutyoperatingconditions,
lubricateallgreasettingsandinspectaircleaner
dailytopreventexcessivewear.
PreparingtoMaintainthe
Machine
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface.
2.Engagetheparkingbrake,shutofftheengine,
andremovethekey.
3.Allowtheengineandexhaustsystemtocool.
LiftingtheMachine
DANGER
Themachinemaybeunstablewhenusinga
jack.Itcouldslipoffthejack,injuringanyone
beneathit.
Donotstarttheenginewhilethemachine
isonajack.
Alwaysremovethekeyfromthekeyswitch
beforegettingoffthemachine.
Blockthetireswhenthemachineis
supportedbyliftingequipment.
Usejackstandstosupportthemachine
onceyouhaveliftedtheit.
Important:Whenevertheengineisrunforroutine
maintenanceand/orenginediagnostics,therear
wheelsofthemachineshouldbe25mm(1inch)
offtheground,withtherearaxlesupportedon
jackstands.
Theliftingpointatthefrontofthemachineisat
thefrontoftheframebehindthetowingtongue
(Figure22).
