ServiceInterval:Every100hours—Inspectthe
steeringandsuspensionforloose
ordamagedcomponents.
Withthesteeringwheelatthecenteredposition
(Figure43),turnthesteeringwheeltotheleftorright.
Ifyouturnthesteeringwheelmorethan13mm(1/2
inch)totheleftorright,andthetiresdonotturn,check
thefollowingsteeringandsuspensioncomponentsto
ensurethattheyarenotlooseordamaged:
Steeringshafttothesteering-rackassemblyjoint
Important:Inspecttheconditionandsecurity
ofthepinion-shaftseal(Figure44).

yourToroDistributortoperformthisprocedure.
Thetoe-inshouldbe0+/–3mm(0+/–1/8inch).
Checkthetirepressuretoensurethatthefront
tiresareinatedto165to207kPa(24to30psi).
Either,addweighttothedriver'sseatequaltothe
averageoperatorwhowillrunthemachine,or
haveanoperatorsitontheseat.Theweightor
operatormustremainontheseatfortheduration
oftheprocedure.
Onalevelsurface,rollthemachinestraightback
2to3m(6to10ft)andthenstraightforward
totheoriginalstartingposition.Thisallowsthe
suspensiontosettleintotheoperatingposition.
Measurethetoe-inwiththewheelsfacingstraight
ahead.
Adjusttheridingheighttothedesiredpositionby
performingthefollowingprocedure:
1.UsingToroT oolNo.6010,rotatethecollaron
theshockabsorbertochangethelengthofthe
spring(Figure45).
