Subject: Debris in Carburetor may cause Rough Running and Flood

Crankcase.

Debris buildup in the carburetor can cause a poor seal between the needle valve and

seat causing an overcharge of fuel in the carburetor float bowl. This excessive fuel

charge can cause rough running and complaints of fuel flooding the engine crankcase.

If your unit experiences this situation, an additional Fuel Filter can be added. It is also

advisable to properly clean the carburetor to remove any debris buildup. Further details

regarding this bulletin are available through your authorized Toro distributor.

Workman® 3200 & 4200 Series Installation of additional Fuel Filter and Mounting Plate 1. Clean the carburetor per Mitsubishi 3G83 carburetor cleaning Instructions included in Service Bulletin VEHICLES #04-03. 2. Remove Fuel Hose from the Fuel Tank side of the Fuel Filter. Secure the Fuel Hose so the end is higher than the Fuel Pump to prevent fuel from leaking out of the Fuel Tank. Keep the hose and clamp, it will be used later. 3. Remove existing Fuel Filter and Fuel Pump from Workman frame. 4.
