Inspection 4. Install retaining ring (Item 7) to secure assembly in
barrel. To install retaining ring, align key slot in head with

Assembly
1. Use a new repair kit (Items 3 – 5 & 8
– 10) to replace
all o–rings. seals and back–up rings. Apply clean hy-
draulic oil to all o–rings, seals, back–up rings before
installing.
2. Install head (Item 6) with new seals onto shaft (Item
2
). Install piston (Item 11) with new seals and back–ups
onto shaft. Install piston onto shaft and secure with nut
(Item 12).
3. Coat all cylinder parts with clean hydraulic oil. Slide
shaft assembly and head into barrel, being careful not to
