Subject: Steering System change.

Machines in the serial number range listed above were manufactured with a modified

Pitman Arm. The arm was modified with a deeper taper of the tie rod mounting hole to

provide clearance between the tie rod and grease fitting. These machines require a flat

washer between the castle nut and Pitman Arm as a result of this modification that may not

be shown in the Parts Book. This washer must remain in place to ensure the tie rod can

be properly tightened. The attached page identifies this change in more detail.
