1. Remove skirt assembly to get access to front suspen-
sion assembly (see step 2 under Parking Brake Cable
Replacement).
2. Jack up front of machine and secure with jack stands.
Remove front wheels.
3. Remove front shock absorbers.

4. Install a compression spring tool rod through holes in
each spring cradle (Fig. 30, Item 1), then install nuts and
washers on both ends of each rod. Tighten one nut on
each rod to secure springs (Item 2). NOTE: Extended
portion of each compression spring tool must be on op-
posite ends so capscrews (Item 7) can be removed.
5. Remove locknut (Item 3) and capscrew (Item 4) from
lower end of each stabilizer link (Item 5).
6. Remove locknut (Item 6) and capscrew (Item 7) se-
curing each spring cradle to control arm towers (Item 8),
then remove springs and cradles along with the stabiliz-
er links.
7. Reverse this procedure to install springs.
