Subject: Tire compound change for improved wear capability.
The ribbed front turf tire on the Workman vehicle uses a rubber compound specifically
designed for Greens and Fairways to minimize damage to the turf. When operating on
hard surface areas, such as cart paths or roads, the front tires will wear at a faster rate
than a hard surface tire. Making sharp turns at high speed will accelerate this wear.Front
Tire (94-5261) is now available for all Workman Vehicles (including 4WD units). This tire is
manufactured from a rubber compound that will provide improved wear characteristics for
hard surface operation while continuing to minimize damage to the turf.
A date code molded into the side-wall of the tire identifies the original tire from the
improved tire as shown below. Any tire with a Date Code of C4X426 and earlier are the
original tire.
