Every200hours
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,engagethe
parkingbrake,shutofftheengine,andremove
thekey.
2.Raisethecargobedandsecureitwiththeprop
rod.
3.ShiftthetransmissiontotheNEUTRALposition.
4.Rotateandinspectthebelt(Figure56)forsigns
ofexcessivewearordamage.
Note:Replacethebeltifitisexcessivelyworn
ordamaged;refertoReplacingtheDriveBelt
(page46).

parkingbrake,rotatethekeyswitchtotheOFF
position,andremovethekey.

clutch(Figure56).
4.Removethebeltfromtheprimaryclutch(Figure
56).
Note:Discardtheoldbelt.
5.Alignthenewbeltovertheprimaryclutch
(Figure56).
6.Rotateandroutethebeltoverthesecondary
clutch(Figure56).
7.Lowerthecargobed.
CheckingtheBelt-Pull
Bumper
Note:Checkthebelt-pullbumperonlywhen
troubleshootingvibration,performingarebuild,or
experiencinganengine-mountfailure.
Thebelt-pullbumper(Figure57)shouldmaintaina
gapof2.2mm(0.09inches).
Ifthebumperistooclosetotheenginebracket,the
beltcausesexcessivevibration;ifthebumperistoo
farfromtheenginebracket,thebeltcausesharmful
enginestress.
Toadjustthegap,loosenthe3anged-headbolts
securingthebrackettotheframeandslidethebracket
theappropriatedistance.
Oncethegapiscorrect,tightenthe3anged-head
bolts.
