1.Positionthevehicleonalevelsurface,stopthe

engine,engagetheparkingbrakeandremovethe

keyfromtheignition.

2.Removethebatterycover.

3.Disconnectthenegativebatterycablefromthe

battery.

RemovingtheHood

Procedure

1.Positionthevehicleonalevelsurface,stopthe

engine,engagetheparkingbrakeandremovethe

keyfromtheignition.

2.Whilegraspingthehoodintheheadlightopenings,

liftuponthehoodtoreleasethelowermounting

tabsfromtheframeslots(Figure1).

3.Pivotthebottomofthehoodupwarduntilthetop

mountingtabscanbepulledfromtheframeslots

(Figure1).

4.Pivotthetopofthehoodforwardandunplugthe

wireconnectorsfromtheheadlights(Figure1).

5.Removethehood.

Procedure

1.Removetheretainerssecuringtheheadlightstothe

hoodandremovetheheadlights(Figure2).

2.Insertthenewmainbeamsintothehoodopenings

andsecurewiththeretainersremoved(Figure2).

Note:Makesurethewritingonthemainbeamsis

upright.
