ChangingtheHydraulicFluid
andCleaningtheStrainer
ServiceInterval:Every800hours
1.Positionthevehicleonalevelsurface,stopthe
engine,engagetheparkingbrake,andremovethe
keyfromtheignitionswitch.
2.Removethedrainplugfromthesideofthereservoir
andletthehydraulicuidowintoadrainpan
(

ofthereservoir(Figure78).Removethehydraulic
hoseand90degreetting.
4.Removethestrainerandcleanitbybackushingit
withacleande-greaser.Allowittoairdrybefore
installing.

strainerinthesameorientation.
7.Installandtightenthedrainplug.
8.Fillthereservoirwithapproximately7.5qt(7l)of
DexronIIIATF.RefertoCheckingtheHydraulic
FluidLevel.
9.Starttheengineandoperatethevehicletollthe
hydraulicsystem.Checkthehydraulicoilleveland
replenishit,ifrequired.
Important:Useonlythehydraulicuidsspecied.
Otheruidscouldcausesystemdamage.
ReplacingtheHydraulicFilter
ServiceInterval:Aftertherst10hours
Every800hours

warrantyonsomecomponents.
