Radiator Cap Cover Kit has been developed
Part Number 136-6303 (Quantity 1 required per unit)
This kit is intended for customers and operators that have expressed difficulty in understanding
where to check the coolant level or have experienced overheat conditions on affected units listed
above.
Since the radiator is not at the coolant systems highest point, a potential exists when opening the
radiator cap to introduce air into the system, which can lead to overheat indications and conditions.
The coolant recovery bottle is the point to check the level of the coolant.
Radiator Cap Cover Kits are available through your commercial distributor and can be easily
installed following the diagram below. This will no longer allow opening of the radiator cap
inadvertently during routine pre-operational checks and directs the operator or technician to the
coolant recovery bottle. This eliminates the potential for air inclusion into the cooling system,
substantially reducing the potential of overheat concerns.
