Maintenance
ReplacingtheFuelFilter
ServiceInterval:Every500hours
Anin-linelterisincorporatedintothefuelline.Use
thefollowingprocedureswhenreplacementbecomes
necessary:
1.Closethefuel-shutoffvalve,loosenthehose
clamponthecarburetorsideofthelter,and
removethefuellinefromthelter(Figure27).

2.Placeadrainpanunderthelter,loosenthe
remaininghoseclamp,andremovethelter.
3.Installthenewlterwiththearrowonthelter
bodypointingawayfromthefueltank(toward
thecarburetor).
4.Slidethehoseclampsontotheendsofthefuel
lines.
5.Pushthefuellinesontothefuellterandsecure
themwiththehoseclamps.
Note:Besurethatthearrowonthesideofthe
lterpointstowardthecarburetor.

1.Raisetherightreartireofftheground,and
supportthemachinewithjackstands.
2.Removethe4wheelnutsthatsecurethewheel
tothehub,andremovethewheelandtire
(Figure28).
