MaintainingtheBattery
ServiceInterval:Every25hours
Maintaintheproperbatteryelectrolytelevelandkeep
thetopofthebatteryclean.Ifthemachineisstoredin
alocationwheretemperaturesareextremelyhigh,the
batteryrunsdownmorerapidlythanifthemachineis
storedinalocationwheretemperaturesarecool.
Keepthetopofthebatterycleanbywashingit
periodicallywithabrushdippedinammoniaor
baking-sodasolution.Flushthetopsurfacewith
wateraftercleaning.Donotremovethellcapwhile
cleaning.
Thebatterycablesmustbetightontheterminalsto
providegoodelectricalcontact.
Ifcorrosionoccursatthebatteryterminals,disconnect
thecables,negative(-)cablerst,andscrapethe
clampsandterminalsseparately.Connectthecables,
positive(+)cablerst,andcoattheterminalswith
petroleumjelly.
Checktheelectrolytelevelevery25operating
hours,orifthemachineisinstorage,every30
days.
Maintainthecelllevelwithdistilledordemineralized
water.Donotllthecellsabovethellline.
