DriveforNeutral
Ifthemachinemoveswhenthetractionpedalisinthe
neutralposition,adjustthetractioncam.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,shutoffthe
engine,engagetheparkingbrake,andremove
thekey.
2.Loosenthe2screwssecuringthecentershroud
tothemachineandremovetheshroud(Figure
34).

oorandplacesupportblocksundertheframe.
WARNING
Thefrontwheeland1rearwheelmustbe
raisedofftheground,orelsethemachine
willmoveduringtheadjustment.This

injuresomeoneunderthemachine.
Makesurethatthemachineisadequately
supported,withthefrontwheeland1
rearwheelraisedofftheground.

Keepyourhands,feet,face,andother
bodypartsawayfromrotatingparts,the
mufer,andotherhotsurfaces.
5.Starttheengineandrotatethecamhex(Figure
35)inbothdirectionstodeterminethemidpoint
oftheneutralspan.
6.Tightenthelocknutsecuringtheadjustment.
7.Shutofftheengine.
8.Installthecentershroud.
9.Removethejackstandsandlowerthemachine
totheshopoor.
10.Testdrivethemachinetoensurethatitdoesnot
movewhenthetractionpedalisinneutral.
