ChargingtheHydraulic
System
Wheneverahydrauliccomponentisrepairedor
replaced,changethehydrauliclterandchargethe
hydraulicsystem.
Ensurethatthehydraulicreservoirandthelterare
lledwithuidatalltimeswhenchargingthehydraulic
system.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,shutoffthe
engine,engagetheparkingbrake,andremove
thekey.
2.Loosenthe2screwssecuringthecentershroud
tothemachineandremovetheshroud(Figure
46).

3.Raisethefrontwheeland1oftherearwheels
offtheoorandplacesupportblocksunderthe
frame.
WARNING
Thefrontwheeland1rearwheelmustbe
raisedofftheground,orelsethemachine
willmoveduringtheadjustment.This
couldcausethemachinetofalland
injuresomeoneunderthemachine.
Makesurethatthemachineisadequately
supported,withthefrontwheeland1
rearwheelraisedofftheground.
4.Starttheengineandsetthethrottletoallowthe
enginetorunatapproximately1,800rpm.
5.Actuatethelift-valveleveruntilthelift-cylinder
rodmovesinandoutseveraltimes.Ifthe
cylinderroddoesnotmoveafter10to15
secondsorthepumpemitsabnormalsounds,
shuttheengineoffimmediatelyanddetermine
thecauseorproblem.Inspectforthefollowing:
