Procedure

Note: T he traction unit m ust be equipped with

the F ront W eight Kit.

1. R emo v e any attac hment from the rear of the

mac hine .

2. With the traction unit adapter lo w ered, bac k

the traction unit into position in front of the

attac hment adapter .

Note: Mak e sure the loc king lev er ( Figure

1 ) is pi v oted to the left (unloc k ed position) as

view ed from the rear of the mac hine .

3. Raise the traction unit adapter into the

attac hment adapter .

4. Pi v ot the loc king lev er to the right to loc k the

adapters tog ether .

With the attachment mounted and secured on the traction unit, raise the attachment. Procedure 2. Measure the gap between the top washer and the spacer in the link assembly on the attachment adapter as shown in Figure 2. 1. Read the documentation. 2. Store the documentation in a safe place. The gap between the washer and the shoulder should be 0.060 to 0.

Note: If the attachment adapter becomes stuck to the traction unit adapter, insert a prybar/screwdriver into the pry slot to disengage the parts (Figure 3). 1 G003784 Figure 4 Adjusting the Compression Springs and Ball Joints The springs and ball joints are adjusted at the factory. However, if new parts are installed or the components are removed for any reason, the spring and ball joint length should be adjusted as shown in Figure 5. G003783 Figure 3 1.
