ReplacingtheFuelFilter
ServiceInterval:Every100hours/Yearly(whichever
comesrst)
Important:Neverinstalladirtylterifitis
removedfromthefuelline.
1.Allowthemachinetocooldown.
2.Closethefuelshut–offvalve(Figure51).

slidethemawayfromthelter(Figure51).
4.Removethelterfromthefuellines.
5.Installanewlterandmovethehoseclampsclose
tothelter(Figure51).

DrainingtheFuelTank
Incertainconditions,gasolineisextremely
ammableandhighlyexplosive.Areor
explosionfromgasolinecanburnyouand
othersandcandamageproperty.
Draingasolinefromthefueltankwhenthe
engineiscold.Dothisoutdoorsinanopen
area.Wipeupanygasolinethatspills.
Neversmokewhendraininggasoline,and
stayawayfromanopenameorwherea
sparkmayignitethegasolinefumes.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurfacetoensurethefuel
tankdrainscompletely.Then,settheparkingbrake,
andturntheignitionkeytooff.Removethekey.
2.Closethefuelshut–offvalve(Figure51).
3.Loosenthehoseclampatthefuellterandslideit
upthefuellineawayfromthefuellter(Figure51).
4.Pullthefuellineofffuellter(Figure51).Openthe
fuelshut-offvalveandallowgasolinetodrainintoa
gascanordrainpan.
Note:Nowisthebesttimetoinstallanewfuel
lterbecausethefueltankisempty.
5.Installthefuellineontothefuellter.Slidethehose
clampclosetothefuelltertosecurethefuelline
(Figure51).
