Hydraulicuidescapingunderpressurecan
penetrateskinandcauseinjury.Fluidinjected
intotheskinmustbesurgicallyremovedwithin
afewhoursbyadoctorfamiliarwiththisform
ofinjuryorgangrenemayresult.
•Ifhydraulicuidisinjectedintotheskin
itmustbesurgicallyremovedwithinafew
hoursbyadoctorfamiliarwiththistypeof
injury.Gangrenemayresultifthisisnot
done.
•Keepyourbodyandhandsawayfrompin
holeleaksornozzlesthatejecthighpressure
hydraulicuid.
•Usecardboardorpapertondhydraulic
leaks,neveruseyourhands.
•Safelyrelieveallpressureinthehydraulic
systembeforeperforminganyworkonit.
•Makesureallhydraulicuidhosesand
linesareingoodconditionandallhydraulic
connectionsandttingsaretightbefore
applyingpressuretohydraulicsystem.
CheckingtheHydraulicLines
ServiceInterval:Beforeeachuseordaily
Beforeeachuse,checkthehydrauliclinesandhoses
forleaks,loosettings,kinkedlines,loosemounting
supports,wear,weatherandchemicaldeterioration.
Makenecessaryrepairsbeforeoperating.
Note:Keeptheareasaroundthehydraulicsystemclean
fromdebrisbuildup.
ChangingtheHydraulicFluid
andFilters
ServiceInterval:Aftertherst8hours
Every200hours
Important:Donotsubstituteautomotiveoillters
orseverehydraulicsystemdamagemayresult.
Note:Removingthereturnlterwilldraintheentire
oilreservoir.
1.Settheparkingbrake,stoptheengine,removethe
key,andwaitforallmovingpartstostopbefore
leavingtheoperatingposition.
2.Placeadrainpanunderthelters,removetheold
lters,andwipethelteradaptergasketsurface
clean(Figure59).

3.Applyathincoatofhydraulicuidtotherubber
gasketonthereplacementlters.
4.Installthereplacementhydraulicltersontothe
lteradapters.Turntheeachlterclockwiseuntil
therubbergasketcontactsthelteradapter,then
tighteneachanadditional1/2turn.
5.AdduidtotheFullmarkonthedipstick,referto
CheckingtheHydraulicFluid.
6.Starttheengineandletitrunforabouttwominutes
topurgeairfromthesystem.Stoptheengineand
checkforleaks.
7.Recheckthelevelwhiletheuidiswarm.Adduid
toraisetheleveltotheFullmarkonthedipstick,if
required.Donotoverll.
HydraulicSystemTestPorts
Thetestportsareusedtotestthepressureinthe
hydrauliccircuits.ContactyourlocalTorodistributor
forassistance.
•TestPortG2(Figure60)isusedtoassistintrouble
shootingthetractionchargecircuit.
