Important:Alwaysengagetheparkingbrake
whenyoustopthemachineorleaveitunattended.

parking-brakelevertowardtheoperatorhandle

parkingbrake.

Oil-PressureWarningLight
Theoil-pressurewarninglight(Figure13)illuminates
whentheengine-oilpressuredropsbelowasafe
level.Iflowoilpressureeveroccurs,shutoffthe
engineanddeterminethecause.Repairthedamage
beforestartingtheengineagain.
Raise,Lower/EngageSwitch
Raise—Pressthetopoftheswitch(Figure13)to
raisethecoringheadanddisengagethecoringhead.
Theenginemustberunningtogenerateliftpressure.
Ifthecoringheadisbelowthetransportheight,refer
toResettingtheSystemControlCircuit(page26).
Lower/Engage—Pressthebottomoftheswitch
(Figure13)tolowerandengagethecoringhead.The
tractionbailmustbeintheforwardpositiontoactivate
theswitch.
DANGER
Whenthecoringheadisrunning,itcaninjure
yourhandsandfeet.
Keephandsandfeetawayfromthecoring
head.Ensurethatthecoringheadareais
clearofanyobstructionsbeforeloweringit.
Tolowerthecoringheadwithoutengagingit,turnthe
ignitionkeytotheRUNposition(withouttheengine
running),movethetractionbailtotheforwardposition,
andpressthebottomoftheswitch.
IgnitionSwitchandKey
Usetheignitionswitch(Figure14),tostartandshut
offtheengine.Theswitchhas3positions:
START—rotatekeyclockwisetotheSTARTposition
toengagethestartermotor.
