CAUTION
Ifsafetyinterlockswitchesaredisconnected
ordamagedthemachinecouldoperate
unexpectedlycausingpersonalinjury.
•Donottamperwiththeinterlockswitches.
•Checktheoperationoftheinterlock
switchesdailyandreplaceanydamaged
switchesbeforeoperatingthemachine.
UnderstandingtheSafetyInterlock
System
Thesafetyinterlocksystempreventstheenginefrom
startingunlessthetractionbailisintheNEUTRAL
position.
TestingtheSafetyInterlock
System
ServiceInterval:Beforeeachuseordaily
1.Ifrunning,shutofftheengine.
2.Whileholdingthetractionbailforwardor
backward,starttheengine.
Theengineshouldnotstart.
3.MovethetractionbailtotheNEUTRALposition
andstarttheengine.
4.Movethemachinetoanareaofturf.
5.EngagethePTOandlowerthecoringhead.
6.Releasethetractionleverormovedittothe
neutralposition.
Thecoringheadshouldraiseandstoprotating.
Ifthesafetysystemdoesnotoperateasdescribed
above,haveanauthorizedT orodistributorrepairthe
safetysystemimmediately.

•Theowner/operatorcanpreventandisresponsible
foraccidentsthatmaycausepersonalinjuryor
propertydamage.
•Wearappropriateclothing,includingeye
protection;longpants;substantial,slip-resistant
footwear;andhearingprotection.Tiebacklong
hair,securelooseclothing,anddonotwearloose
jewelry.
•Donotoperatethemachinewhentired,ill,or
undertheinuenceofalcoholordrugs.
•Nevercarrypassengersonthemachineandkeep
bystandersandpetsawayfromthemachine
duringoperation.
•Operatethemachineonlyingoodvisibilitytoavoid
holesorhiddenhazards.
•Keepyourhandsandfeetawayfromthetines.
•Lookbehindanddownbeforebackinguptobe
sureofaclearpath.
