5.Tightentheboltstotherecommendedtorque
level.
6.Repeatthisprocedureontheremainingarms.
AdjustingtheWeight
Transfer
Themachinetransfersweightfromthetractionunitto
thecoringheadtohelpmaintainholedepthinvarious
soilstructures.However,ifthesoilstructureisrm
enoughtonotallowfullaerationdepth,thecoring
headmayneedadditionalweighttransfer.Toincrease
thedownpressureoftheweighttransfersprings,
proceedasfollows:

Suddenreleaseofthespringplatescould
causeinjury.
Acquirethehelpofanotherpersontohelp
adjusttheweighttransferspring.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,shutoffthe
engine,engagetheparkingbrake,andremove
thekey.
2.Loosenthecarriageboltnutssecuringthespring
bracketstothecoringhead(Figure27).Donot
removethem.
