Lubrication

bearingsandreplacethemifnecessary.
Themachinehasnogreasettingstolubricate.
Important:Bearingsrarelyfailfromdefectsin
materialsorworkmanship.Themostcommon
reasonforfailureismoistureandcontamination
workingitswaypasttheprotectiveseals.
Bearingsthataregreasedrelyuponregular
maintenancetopurgeharmfuldebrisfromthe
bearingarea.Sealedbearingsrelyonaninitial
llofspecialgreaseandarobustintegralsealto
keepcontaminantsandmoistureoutoftherolling
elements.
Thesealedbearingsrequirenolubricationorshort
termmaintenance.Thisminimizesroutineservice
requiredandreducesthepotentialofturfdamage
duetogreasecontamination.Thesesealedbearing
packagesprovidegoodperformanceandlifeunder
normaluse,butperiodicinspectionsofbearing
conditionandsealintegrityshouldbeconductedto
avoiddowntime.Inspectthebearingsseasonally
andreplacethemiftheyaredamagedorworn.
Bearingsshouldoperatesmoothlywithnodetrimental
characteristicssuchashighheat,noise,looseness,
orrustweeping.
Duetotheoperatingconditionsthesebearing/seal
packagesaresubjectto(e.g.,sand,turfchemicals,
water,impacts,etc.)theyareconsiderednormalwear
items.Bearingsthatfailduetocausesotherthan
defectsinmaterialsorworkmanshiparetypicallynot
coveredunderwarranty.
Note:Youcannegativelyaffectthebearingsifyou
donotwashthemachinecorrectly.Donotwash
themachinewhenitisstillhotandavoiddirecting
high-pressureorhighvolumesprayatthebearings.
Newbearingscommonlypurgesomegreaseoutof
thesealsonanewmachine.Thispurgedgrease
turnsblackduetocollectionofdebris,notexcessive
heat.Wipethisexcessgreasefromthesealsafter
theinitial8hours.Theareaaroundtheseallipmay
continuallyappeartobewet;thisisnotdetrimentalto
bearinglife,andkeepsthesealliplubricated.
