CheckingtheTirePressure
ServiceInterval:Every50hours/Monthly(whichever
comesrst)
Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,shutoffthe
engine,engagetheparkingbrake,andremovethe
key.
Checktoensurethattheairpressureinalltiresis83
kPa(12psi).Checkthetireswhentheyarecoldto
getthemostaccuratepressurereading.
Important:Uneventirepressurecancause
unevencoringdepth.

Themachinemustnotcreepwhenyoureleasethe
tractionbail.Ifitdoes,anadjustmentisrequired.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,shutoffthe
engine,engagetheparkingbrake,andremove
thekey.
2.Raisethemachinesothefrontwheeland1rear
wheelisjustofftheground.Placejackstands
undermachine.RefertoRaisingtheMachine
(page32).
3.Loosenthelocknutonthetractionadjustment
cam(Figure56).

4.Startengineanddisengagetheparkingbrake.
WARNING
Theenginemustberunningsothatyou
canmakethenaladjustmentonthe
tractionadjustmentcam.Thiscould
causepersonalinjury.
Keepyourhands,feet,face,andother
bodypartsawayfromthemufer,other
hotpartsoftheengineandanyrotating
parts.
5.Rotatethecamhexineitherdirectionuntilthe
wheelsdonotrotate.
6.Tightenthelocknutsecuringtheadjustment.
7.Shutofftheengine.
8.Removethejackstandsandlowerthemachine
totheground.
9.Testthemachinetomakesurethatitdoesnot
creep.
