Tomoveforward,movethetractionleverforward.Tomove
rearward,movethetractionleverrearward(

Thefartheryoumovethetractionlever,thefastertheaerator
willmove.
Tostop,releasethetractionlever.
ParkingBrake
Toengagetheparkingbrake,movethelevertowardthe
engine.Todisengagetheparkingbrake,movethelever
forward(Figure12).
Alwayssettheparkingbrakewhenyoustoptheaeratoror
leaveitunattended.
Jogthetractionleverforwardandreversetoreleasethe
parkingbrake.
OilPressureWarningLight
Theoilpressurewarninglight(Figure12)glowswhenthe
oilpressureintheenginedropsbelowasafelevel.Iflow
oilpressureeveroccurs,stoptheengineanddeterminethe
cause.Repairthedamagebeforestartingtheengineagain.
Raise,Lower/EngageSwitch
Raise—Pressthetopoftheswitch(Figure12)toraisethe
coringheadanddisengagethecoringhead.Theenginemust
berunningtogenerateliftpressure.Ifthecoringheadis
belowthetransportheight,refertoSystemControlCircuit
Reset.
Lower/Engage—Pressthebottomoftheswitch(Figure12)
tolowerandengagethecoringhead.Thetractionlevermust
beintheforwardpositiontoactivatetheswitch.
CAUTION
Keephandsandfeetawayfromthecoringhead.
Makesurethecoringheadareaisclearofany
obstructionsbeforeloweringit.
Tolowerthecoringheadwithoutengagingit,turnthe
ignitionkeytotheRunposition(withouttheenginerunning),
movethetractionlevertotheforwardposition,andpressthe
bottomoftheswitch.
IgnitionSwitch
Theignitionswitch(Figure13),whichisusedtostartand
stoptheengine,hasthreepositions:Off,Run,andStart.
RotatekeyclockwisetotheStartpositiontoengagestarter
motor.Whenenginestarts,releasekeyanditwillmove
automaticallytotheOnposition.Toshuttheengineoff,
rotatethekeycounterclockwisetotheOffposition.
