ThrottleControl
Thethrottle(Figure13)isusedtooperateengineatvarious
speeds.Movingthrottleforwardincreasesenginespeed(Fast
position);backwarddecreasesenginespeed(Slowposition).
Thethrottleregulatesthespeedofthecoringheadand
controlsthegroundspeedofthemachine.
HourMeter/Tachometer
Whentheengineisoff,thehourmeter/tachometer(Figure
13)displaysthenumberofhoursofoperationthathave
beenloggedonthemachine.Whentheengineisrunning,it
displaysthespeedoftheengineinrevolutionsperminute
(RPM).
Aftertherst50hoursofoperationandthenafterevery100
hours(e.g.150,250,350,etc.)thescreendisplays“CHG
OILtoremindyoutochangetheengineoil.Afterevery100
hours(e.g.100,200,300,etc.),thescreendisplays“SVC”to
remindyoutoperformtheothermaintenanceprocedures
basedona100,200,or500hourschedule.Thesereminders
comeonstartingthreehourspriortotheserviceintervaltime
andashatregularintervalsforsixhours.
Choke
Tostartacoldengine,closethecarburetorchokebymoving
chokecontrol(Figure13)fullyforward.Aftertheengine
starts,regulatethechoketokeeptheenginerunningsmoothly.
Assoonaspossible,openthechokebypullingitbackward.
ManualGroundFollowSelectorSwitch
Rotatetheswitchtothedownpositiontoturnoffthe
TrueCorefeature(Figure13)Removethebolttoaccessthe
manualgroundswitch.
SystemReset
Pressthesystemresetswitch(Figure13)toraisethecoring
headifthesystembecomesdisabled(e.g.,engineoutoffuel,
etc.)
