2.Locatetheby-passvalvebetweentheengineand
hydrostaticpump(Figure30).
3.Usinga5/8inchwrench,rotatetheby-passvalve
counterclockwise1turn.Thisallowsthehydraulic
uidtoby-passthepumpenablingthewheelstoturn
(Figure30).

4.Disengagetheparkingbrakebeforepushing/pulling.

by-passvalveopenformorethan10–15seconds.
5.Tooperatetheaeratoragain,rotatetheby-passvalve
clockwise1turn(Figure30).
Note:Donotovertightentheby-passvalve.
Note:Theaeratorwillnotdriveunlesstheby-pass
valveisturnedclosed.Donottrytooperatetraction
systemwiththeby-passopen.
ResettingtheSystemControl
Circuit
Ifthecoringheadiseverleftintheaeratingposition(runout
offuel,forgettoinstallservicelatchforstorage,mechanical
failureofengine/pump,etc.)theelectricalsystemthat
controlsthehydraulicsolenoidcoilsandtheelectricclutchis
disabledtopreventunintendedmovementofthecoringhead
withoutthedeliberateactionofresettingthesystem.
Toresetthesystemafterengineisstarted,presstherocker
switch(
Figure31)toraisethecoringheadandresetthe
electricalcontrolcircuit.
