AdjustingtheWeightTransfer
Themachineisdesignedtotransferweightfromthe
tractionunittothecoringheadtohelpmaintainhole
depthinvarioussoilstructures.However,ifthesoil
structureisrmenoughtonotallowfullaeration
depthsomeadditionalweighttransfermayberequired.
Toincreasethedownpressureoftheweighttransfer
springs,proceedasfollows:

Suddenreleaseofthespringplatescouldcause

Acquirethehelpofanotherpersontohelpadjust
theweighttransferspring.
1.Loosenthecarriageboltnutssecuringthespring
bracketstothecoringhead(Figure36).Donot
removethem.

Note:Rotatingthespringplatesupwardwill
increasetheweighttransfer.
AddingAdditionalWeight
Withtheincreasedweighttransfer,itispossibleto
aeratermenoughgroundthattheweighttransfer
beginstoliftthereartwotiresofftheground.This
mayleadtoirregularholespacing.
Ifthisoccurs,anadditionalweightplatecanbeadded
