1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurfacetoensurethefuel
tankdrainscompletely.Then,settheparkingbrake,
andturntheignitionkeytooff.Removethekey.
2.Closethefuelshut–offvalve(
Figure51).
3.Loosenthehoseclampatthefuellterandslideit
upthefuellineawayfromthefuellter(Figure51).
4.Pullthefuellineofffuellter(Figure51).Openthe
fuelshut-offvalveandallowgasolinetodrainintoa
gascanordrainpan.
Note:Nowisthebesttimetoinstallanewfuel
lterbecausethefueltankisempty.
5.Installthefuellineontothefuellter.Slidethehose
clampclosetothefuelltertosecurethefuelline
(
Figure51).

themachineisstoredinalocationwheretemperatures
arecool.
Checktheelectrolytelevelevery25operatinghoursor,
ifmachineisinstorage,every30days.
Maintainthecelllevelwithdistilledordemineralized
water.Donotllthecellsabovethebottomofthesplit
ringinsideeachcell.
Keepthetopofthebatterycleanbywashingit
periodicallywithabrushdippedinammoniaor
bicarbonateofsodasolution.Flushthetopsurfacewith
wateraftercleaning.Donotremovethellcapswhile
cleaning.
Thebatterycablesmustbetightontheterminalsto
providegoodelectricalcontact.
