4.Disengagetheparkingbrakebefore
pushing/pullingthemachine.
Important:Donotoperatetheenginewith
thebypassvalveopenformorethan10to
15seconds.
5.Tooperatetheaeratoragain,rotatethebypass
valveclockwise1turn(Figure31).
Note:Donotovertightenthebypassvalve.
Note:Theaeratorwillnotdriveunlessthe
bypassvalveisturnedclosed.Donottryto
operatetractionsystemwiththebypassvalve
open.
ResettingtheSystem
ControlCircuit
Ifthecoringheadiseverleftintheaeratingposition
(runoutoffuel,forgettoinstallservicelatchfor
storage,mechanicalfailureofengine/pump,etc.)the
electricalsystemthatcontrolsthehydraulicsolenoid
coilsandtheelectricclutchisdisabledtoprevent
unintendedmovementofthecoringheadwithoutthe
deliberateactionofresettingthesystem.
Toresetthesystemafterengineisstarted,pressthe
rockerswitch(Figure32)toraisethecoringheadand
resettheelectricalcontrolcircuit.

Intheeventthattheenginefailsorcannotberestarted
withthecoringheadloweredandtinesareengaged
inthesoil,proceedasfollows:
1.Removethetineholdersfromthestomperarms.
2.Openthebypassvalve1turn.
3.Pull/pushtheaeratortoanearbylocationto
continueserviceorloadontoatrailer.
Important:Donotpull/pushaeratorformore
than100feetandnofasterthan1.6km/h(1mph)
becausehydraulicdamagemayoccur.
