AdjustingtheWeight
Transfer
Themachineisdesignedtotransferweightfromthe
tractionunittothecoringheadtohelpmaintainhole
depthinvarioussoilstructures.However,ifthesoil
structureisrmenoughtonotallowfullaerationdepth
someadditionalweighttransfermayberequired.To
increasethedownpressureoftheweighttransfer
springs,proceedasfollows:

1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,shutoffthe
engine,engagetheparkingbrake,andremove
thekey.
2.Loosenthecarriageboltnutssecuringthespring
bracketstothecoringhead(Figure37).Donot
removethem.
