1.Determinetheoutputfaultyouaretryingto
resolve.
2.MovethekeyswitchtotheOnpositionand
ensuretheredpowerLEDisilluminated.
3.MoveallinputswitchestoensurethatallLEDs
changestate.
4.Positioninputdevicesattheappropriateposition
toachievetheappropriateoutput.
5.IfspecicoutputLEDisilluminatedwithout
appropriateoutputfunction,checkoutput
harness,connections,andcomponent.Repair
asrequired.
6.IfspecicoutputLEDisnotilluminated,check
bothfuses.
7.IfspecicoutputLEDisnotilluminatedand
inputsareinappropriatecondition,installnew
ACManddetermineiffaultdisappears.
OperatingTips
General
WARNING
Alwaysbeawareofobstaclesthatmaybein
theareaofoperation.Planyouraerationpath
toavoidcontactwithanyobstaclebyyouor
themachine.
Makeverygradualturnswhenaerating.Never
makesharpturnswiththecoringheadengaged.
Planyouraerationpathbeforeloweringthe
aerator.
Alwaysmaintainawarenessofwhatliesaheadin
thedirectionofforwardtravel.Avoidoperation
incloseproximityofbuildings,fences,andother
equipment.
Lookbehindfrequentlytoensurethatthemachine
isoperatingproperlyandalignmentismaintained
withpreviouspasses.
Alwayscleartheareaofalldamagedmachine
parts,suchasbrokentines,etc.,toprevent
theirbeingpickedupbymowersorotherturf
maintenanceequipment.
Replacebrokentinesandinspectandcorrect
damagetothosestillusable.Repairanyother
machinedamagebeforecommencingoperation.
Whenaeratingwithlessthanthefullwidthofthe
machine,thetinesmayberemovedbutthetines
headsshouldremaininstalledonthestomper
armstoinsureproperbalanceandoperationof
themachine.
Themachinewillaeratedeeperthanmostgreens
aerators.Onnativeormodiedpush-upgreens
andtees,thedeeperdepthandlongerhollow
tinesmayhavedifcultyejectingthecomplete
core.Thisisduetohardernativesoilthatsticks
intheendofthetine.Side-ejectgreens/teestines
fromT orowillstaycleanerandreducethetime
requiredtocleanthetinesout.Thisconditionis
eventuallyeliminatedwithcontinuedaerationand
top-dressingprograms.
HardGround
Ifthegroundistoormtoobtainthedesiredcoring
depth,thecoringheadcangetintoabouncingrhythm.
Thisisduetothehardpanthetinesareattempting
topenetrate.Thisconditioncanbecorrectedby
attemptingthefollowing:
Donotaerateifgroundistoohardordry,best
resultsareobtainedafterarainorwhenturfhas
beenwateredthepreviousday.
