Subject: Belt Slip and Turf Damage due to improper Gearbox Installation.
If the belts appear to slip during operation, confirm the belts are adjusted properly as
identified in the Operator’s Manual. As the gearbox is symmetrical, it can be installed
upside down resulting in reversed rotation. Proper installation can be determined by
turning the gearbox-input shaft as shown in Figure 1. If the crank arms rotate in the
direction shown in Figure 2, the gearbox is installed properly.
